This Week In Ch33v0z, Not Really This Week Edition A.K.A. The Damn That's A Lot O' Ch33v0z Edition

What a month! I can barely keep up with my games let alone my cheevin' blog(not to mention Turkey Day)! I do feel a certain duty to all the cheevoholics out there, and I want to bring my sweet cheevoz to light. This is last weeks cheev haul, and it's a big 'un. Get ready to receive my load... er... wait, take my load? No, that's not it... um... read my blog.

Star Wars: Force Unleashed

Apprentice-Complete Game - Apprentice difficulty. Do not change the difficulty after the game has started-75G

Sith Warrior-Complete Game - Sith Warrior difficulty. Do not change the difficulty after the game has started-100G

Redemption-Complete Game - Light Side-20G

PROXY Won't Be Happy-Destroy 35 droids-15G

The Harder They Fall-Defeat 10 AT-STs or AT-KTs-15G

Destroyer-Complete Level - Raxus Prime, act 2-10G

I finally finished up this game. Not that it was bad, but a game of this caliber during a season with so many top notch games really didn't help with my opinion. I will say that the story was pretty good, and for fans of Star Wars, it's worth a play just for the extra additions to the Star Wars Universe.

These cheevs were pretty standard, though getting past some of the later points of the game were a bit of a challenge. Particularly the level in which the Destroyer cheevo is attained. Getting that damn ship down was a chore, until I realized I was doing everything wrong. Quick tip: Do everything the on screen queues tell you to... everything.

Close Shave-Encountered a Banzai attack and lived to tell the tale-10G

Carlson's Raiders-Surprised the Japanese with a daring raid of the Makin Atoll-10G

Saved Private Ryan-Saved a soldier from a terrible death-10G

I finally cracked into this game, and I've got to say... meh. It's fun, and it's a pretty solid shooter, but I've just had enough of World War II in my gaming. It's enough. I'm burned out. Anyway, the campaign is pretty short and doesn't hand out quite enough cheevz. I am currently working my way through the campaign on veteran difficulty, so look for more hefty cheevoz in the coming weeks.

Saved Private Ryan is unlocked in the first few minutes of the very first level. A flaming Japanese soldier gets a hold of your comrade PVT. Ryan and a quick shot will save your buddy and net you a sweet cheev!

Close Shave is attained by clicking the right stick when attacked by a Jap soldier. Wait for him to strike with his bayonet and click the right stick. You'll stab that fucker right in the neck. It's pretty sweet.

The rest are pretty boring and pretty standard. Nothing to see here people, keep moving. I will say that I beat the entire campaign and was only awarded a few hundred points, very tight with the cheevz.

I love this game. If you haven't tried this game, download the demo from Xbox live. It's such a great game, and it's so different. Think first person puzzle/platformer. The controls feel great, the visuals are stunning, and it's just plain fun. If you don't love this game, there is something seriously wrong with YOU.

Sweet Goodbye is a little confusing. You'll trigger a sweet animation by doing a certain move. Step 1. Run towards an enemy, step 2. Hit LB and RB in quick succession, and finally step 3 hit the right trigger. Voila.

Hey its-a-me! Besides being a sweet ass homage to Mario, its' a fun move to execute. Jump towards an enemy, and hit right trigger just before making contact. You'll fuck that bastard up and score a sweet cheev.

Vrooom! is easy and is a nice amount of cheevz. You can do this on the VERY FIRST LEVEL. Check the video.

Damn son. I've been fighting with this game all month. There are SO many releases out, it's hard to even want to play some of these games. Not to say that Dead Space is bad, it's just no Gears of War 2. Well, I finally got a chance to put some time into this game, and I really like it. It's scary, pretty, and fun to play. Besides, who doesn't like to dismember disgusting alien/human monsters with industrial space tools?

All of these cheevz come with just playing the game. I will give a quick tip about the Story Teller cheevo. Each communication that you receive counts as a log, along with the special logs you'll pick up in the world. So this one isn't that hard, and don't kill yourself trying to find them all because you'll hit 75 logs found before you know it.

Left 4 Dead

Tongue Twister-Free yourself from a Smoker who has grabbed you with his tongue-20G

Drag and Drop-Rescue a Survivor from a Smoker's tongue before he takes damage-20G

Pyrotechnician-Blow up 20 Infected in a single explosion-20G

Blind Luck-You or another Survivor take no damage after being vomited on by a Boomer-20G

In LOVE with this game. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this game. It's a ton of fun, and great if you are into co-op (which I am). Many of the cheevz are a challeng, but not impossible. Most can be attained on any difficulty level (that means easy for you cheev hounds).

Blind Luck really is that, luck. You can increase your odds of getting this cheevo by playing with 3 computer controlled AI. Get sprayed by a boomer, and back yourself into bathroom or other small room with no other entrances. Your computer controlled buddies will jam up the entrance and take out the horde.

Pyrotechnician is pretty simple as well. Just grab a pipe bomb and hang on to it until you or a teammate gets hosed down by a boomer. The horde will start to swarm in, toss the pipe bomb and watch them gather around.

That's it. I'm running behind on the sweet cheev reporting and there are tons more to post, so read it, love it, live it. Cheev on, brothers.
