This Week In Ch33v0z, The Fallout Star Wars Fable Edtion (PT 1)

Ch33v0z, ch33v0z, ch33v0z! It's time for more cheevoz! That's right, this week has been a killer for me and my game schedule. Fable II, Dead Space, Star Wars: TFU, and Fallout 3! I'm buried under a ton of games, with Gears 2, COD5, and many others on the near horizon. This week was an avalanche of cheevos, so I opted to make a special Fable II cheevo post, click here to enjoy it's cheeviness.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Insurrection-Complete Level - TIE Factory, act 1-10G

Skilled-Earn 250,000 Force Points on a single level-5G

Invasion-Complete Level - Prologue-10G

Sith Lord Frenzy-Get a Frenzy x12 bonus-15G

Gripped-Defeat 100 enemies with Force Grip-5G

Bossk-Defeat 200 Wookiees on Kashyyyk Prologue-15G

Sith Frenzy-Get a Frenzy x8 bonus-10G

Frenzy-Get a Frenzy x4 bonus-5G

Worst Day-Shift Manager Ever-Kill 12 Stormtroopers as Vader during the Prologue-10G

Star Wars... who couldn't like that? This is the first time you can use your force powers in a way that makes you feel like a badass (and no, not like this guy). This is a pretty fun game with a really great Star Wars story. I'm digging it so far.

Worst Day-Shift Manager is one pesky secret cheevoz. Just kill 12 stormtroopers in the very first part of the game, when you play as Vader. It's easy, because they are everywhere.

Bossk is another one that's done in the prologue. It's easy, but it takes about 10 minutes. You'll arrive at a section with 3 bridges, forming a triangle. The wookies will endlessly spawn here. Just kill them as they fly towards you, you can also unlock other cheevoz by using specific force powers... for instance the Gripped cheevo.

Fallout 3

Escape!-Completed "Escape!"-20G

The G.O.A.T. Whisperer-Took the G.O.A.T.-10G

Vault 101 Citizenship Award-Got the Pip-Boy 3000-10G

A new game! Fallout 3! I'm getting deeper and deeper into the world of RPG games. This one is bigger and more violent than Fable, and so far I'm enjoying it. I would also add that I'm playing an evil bastard in this game, and I'm really liking that. Rob, steal, kill... my new motto.

So far all the cheevz I've unlocked are related to the story. In fact, most cheevoz are story related. Basically you'll unlock one for each of the larger story quests.

Fable II

Oh, right... there were WAY too many to post on this one! Check out the special Fable II post, here!

So that's it for this week! Look for more Fallout 3 cheevz, some progress on Star Wars, hopefully those last couple in Fable II and maybe a new game! Don't forget, Gears of War 2 in just 7 days! w00t!

This Week In Ch33v0z, The Special Extended Fable 2 Edition

It's all about Fable II these days. So many cheevos were unlocked this week! I actually created a separate Week In Cheevz recap just for my Fable cheevos! Make to check out the regular week in ch33v0z on the normal post, here.

The ch33v0z for Fable 2 are interesting, in that many can be attained for two players at a time. That means that theoretically, you can just piggy back on someone else's cheevo! Interesting idea, does it work? Meh... kinda. The cheevo descriptions also change once unlocked, which is kind of cool. I would like to thank Mike53414 for the hook up on some sweet ass cheevz.

Fable II

The Duellist-You, or a friend, have mastered the chain attack. Lightning-quick strikes are almost unstoppable-10G

The Dollcatcher-You, or a friend, collected all the Hero dolls. Shame you can't auction them off now-10G

The Gargoyle-You uncovered the gargoyles' treasure. The cheeky rocks have mocked you for the last time-25G

The Ruler of Albion-There is no richer Hero in the whole of Albion!-100G

The Party Animal-You, or a friend, spread the joy (and pain) of intoxication to five people in under three minutes-10G

The Celebrity-You, or a friend, are the most famous person in Albion. Heroes deserve to be celebrities!-50G

The Cliff Diver-You, or a friend, plunged an incredible 500 feet off a cliff. Heights hold no fears for Heroes-5G

The Sacrifice-The Needs of the Many' has sacrificed loved ones so that many more will live-25G

The Egomaniac-The Needs of the One' has condemned thousands to death for nothing but gold-25G

The Family-The Needs of The Few' has condemned thousands to death so that loved ones might live-25G

The Hero of Skill-You were there when the Hero of Skill was recruited-100G

The Black Knight-You have turned hollow man-killing into an artform. Turns out it wasn't a flesh wound-10G

The Paragon-You, or a friend, have taken morality to its utmost extreme. Neutral Heroes are so boring-15G

The Hero of Will-You were there when the Hero of Will was recruited-100G

The Extremist-You, or a friend, have taken purity or corruption to its utmost extreme-15G

The Illustrated Hero-Tattoos are forever. Just like this achievement-5G

The Menace To Society-You, or a friend, committed an act of public indecency. Oh, the shame of it-5G

The Artisan-You, or a friend, showed what it takes to be a model employee-10G

The Goth-Everybody knows black is the coolest colour-5G

The Muse-The whole of Albion has heard the songs you've commissioned about yourself. Show-off-5G

The Bigamist-Marriage is so great, one might as well do it twice!-10G

The Romantic-You, or a friend, organised the perfect date. Let's hope it was worth the trouble-10G

The Swinger-You went to bed with more than one person and... Well, why do you think we blacked out the screen?-5G

The Teaser-Bandits deserve having their minds messed with, and it's also jolly good fun!-5G

The Sharpshooter-You, or a friend, hit three targets with one shot. Reaver himself would be envious-10G

The Hunter-So, proud of yourself? Big brave hunter killed an innocent rabbit? How do you sleep at night?-5G

The Archmage-Five human enemies were killed with one magnificent spell-10G

Ok, so it's a bunch of cheevos. There are a couple of spoilers in there, so I'll leave them to last. This is one of the best games I've played in a long time, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. That being said, here is how I hooked up some of the more elusive cheevz.

The Dollcatcher is one of the more difficult cheevoz. It requires you to collect 6 different dolls to unlock it. The catch is that each gamertag can only unlock one of the dolls, requiring you to trade with other people via XBOX live. Tricky, since you have to put your trust in some people. Buy, borrow, or trade your way to this cheevo. You can win your own doll by getting a score of 150 at the shooting range in Westcliff.

The Hunter is stupid and I don't understand why they put it in the game. Basically, you just have to kill a rabbit. Not hard. However, they don't explain that you have to turn the "safety" off in your game. To disable the safeguard, push down on the d-pad and blast that little hopping bastard.

The Black Knight is a reference to a Monty Python movie. You'll find yourself a hollowman, shoot his hands off and then pop him in the head. Just make sure you have your "skill level" high enough to enable the precision shooting, otherwise you can't even attempt this one.

The Sacrifice, The Family, and The Egomaniac can all be scored at once... kind of. These cheevos deal directly with the end of the story. You'll be given three choices, each has it's own cheevo. Just quit to the dashboard after the cheevo unlocks, and reload the section. Bring a friend along for the ride and double up on the fun!

The Cliff Diver can only be achieved in one place(that I know of). This will be done on the pirate/treasure quest that you can get in the bar in Bloodstone. Just follow the bread crumb trail.

So that's Fable cheevoz for this week. I only have 4 left, and unfortunately they may stay that way. Currently Fable 2 is under some scrutiny by the community for requiring you buy the Fable Pub Games to unlock one of the cheevos. I'm not going to spend $10 on a game I'll never play for a measly 50 points. Drama aside, the real reason I won't be getting to them is because I'm buried under content. Dead Space, Star Wars, and Fallout 3 are currently filling my plate, so time for games is getting slim. Not only that, but next week is the release of the much anticipated Gears of War 2!

Too many games, not enough time. Check the regular post for my weekly cheev haul! I've got two new games and a bunch of new cheevos!

This Week In Ch33v0z, My Cup Runneth Over Edition

Wow. Just wow. It's come to that time of year again. The "Holiday season" as people in the know call it. I've just been buried by the first wave of new games, and I can't imagine how I'm going to make it out from underneath all of this. So this week I started Dead Space and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed that I got from Gamefly. I also started a new released game... maybe you've heard of it? That's right, Fable II. My cup runneth over with potential cheevo opportunities, but can I tear myself away from the time stealer that is Fable?

Dead Space

Dead On Arrival-Complete Chapter 1 on any difficulty setting-20G

Marksman-Dismember 20 Limbs-5G

This is a sweet ass game! It's scary, gory, filled with action and it's fun! To this point, my only regret is that I've not given it enough time. Neglect shall be it's middle name.

Not much to explain for the cheevoz, but I'll get back to you on the rest.

Fable II

The Companions-You performed a perfect co-op expression. Isn't it nice playing together?-10G

The Philanthropist-A gift was sent to an Xbox LIVE friend. Aren't Heroes nice people?-10G

The Hero of Strength-You were there when the Hero of Strength was recruited-100G

The Parent-You, or a friend, have contributed to the population of Albion-10G

The Spouse-You, or a friend, got married! You don't remember the wedding night? You were probably drunk-10G

The Persuader-You, or a friend, convinced someone to hand over a present0-5G

The Chicken Kicker-You, or a friend, kicked a poor, defenceless chicken. Good thing they have reinforced feathers-5G

The Workhorse-There is nothing more fulfilling than doing one's job well-10G

The Dog Trainer-Your dog, or another Hero's, has one more trick in his repertoire-5G

The Double Threat-You achieved a co-op combat bonus-10G

The Rogue-You, or a friend, managed to steal something from a house while people stood nearby-5G

The Hero of Many Names-You, or a friend, changed titles. We still know who you really are. No one hides from us-5G

The New Hero-Thag the Impatient has been defeated. Albion has a new Hero-50G

The Pooch Pamperer-You, or your friend, played fetch with the dog. That little fellow just loves to play-5G

The Archaeologist-You, or a friend, excavated a site discovered by the dog and found something-5G

The Pied Piper-You, or a friend, threw a really swinging party. No one spreads joy like a Hero-10G

The Show-off-You, or a friend, performed a perfect expression and impressed a villager. Heroes are such a posers-5G

The Whippersnapper-A child Hero collected five gold pieces for a fateful purpose-25G

This game is just great. It's one of those fantastic, time stealing games that you can't seem to stop playing... even when you want to. It contains all the things I love about open world/RPG games... hookers. Oh, and something about leveling up and characters... meh.

Most of these cheevos are pretty self explanatory. A couple require some explaining.... and a few I have no fucking clue.
The Companions shouldn't be too hard to get, basically you and a friend have to perform an expression, hold it, and both finish in the optimal green zone. I'm not going to get into how to do the expression, but that's how you get the cheevo.

The Chicken Kicker is not one of my favorite cheevos. Personally, I would rather kick a baby than a chicken, but hey... it's not my game. So, I'm not sure how many chickens you have to kick, but I got mine around 10.
The Hero Of Many Names is really easy. The first time you come into a town, seek out the "Town Crier" and change your name to something else. Booyah, unlocked.

The Pied Piper is a bit time consuming but pretty easy, and can be attained pretty early in the game. Just go near a few people and start hitting your expressions. Just keep doing it until you get a good sized crowd.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Oh... no cheevos? That's right, it's actually sitting on the desk, collecting dust. Sorry folks out there that want to rent Dead Space and Star Wars, Fable is just too good!

So that's it for this week. Look out for some more cheevz next week as I actually dive into my other games. Welcome to the tidal wave that is the holiday... as I call it, the cheevadays.
