Special Gears Of War 2 Ch33v0 Recap!

As most gamers know, this month has been a glut of games. More releases over the past 4 weeks than we've had all year. Game publishers trying to grab your cash, and in my case... succeeding. So, while it's put a dent in my wallet, it's also put a dent into my free time, A.K.A. blogging time. So, without further ado, the cheevoz of Gears of War 2.

I want to begin by saying that this game is the bomb. It's not only the bomb, it's the bombizzle. The shizznat. The dookie chute... right? Anyway, it's great and I'm way into it. Horde Mode, ftw.

So it's all pretty straight forward, however Gears 2 has this cool little feature that shows you your progress towards specific cheevoz. For instance, when you hit 4,000 kills, it will let you know that you are 4,000/100,000 kills for the Seriously 2.0 cheevo. Good times.

Variety Is The Spice Of Death requires that you get a kill with every weapon in the game. There are 15 different weapons, click here for a list.

Kick 'Em While They're Down is similar to VITSOD, but you must perform every different execution with a weapon. This will require your enemy to be downed (on his hands and knees). The best way to get an enemy to drop down, is to use your lancer rifle to shoot their knees. They will fall, and you can use your weapon to perform a special execution. Click here for a list of all executions.

Dirty, Dirty Horde and Hoard The Horde are pretty difficult, but it's attainable with help. Get into a co-op game (the more people the better) and play up to wave 50 on one map! Turn the difficulty to casual(still fucking hard) and it should be a challenge, but doable.

Everything else is pretty self explanitory, now get out there and chainsaw some bitches.

So that's as far as it goes for Gears of War 2. I'm still pounding away at the cheevz, and I'll be working on a new post that will encompass all my cheevy goodness of the last two weeks! Be on the lookout for the normal weekly post!

This Week In Ch33v0z, The Fallout Unleashed Edition

Cheevos for one, cheevos for all. This week has brought some cheevoz, as I grind my way through games. Star Wars has paid out, but the points yield low. Not to mention Fallout 3 is a fantastic game, with tons of things to do... but the cheevos are SO tight. Let's see what this week brought!

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Rebel Leader-Defeat 500 Imperials-15G

Infestation-Complete Level - Felucia, act 2-10G

Legend-Earn 600,000 Force Points on a single level-25G

The Bigger They Are-Defeat 6 Rancors-15G

Skyhook-Complete Level - Kashyyyk, act 2-10G

Expert-Earn 500,000 Force Points on a single level-10G

Vapor Room-Complete Level - Cloud City, act 2-10G

Empirical-Complete Level - Empirical, act 2-10G

Cannon Fodder-Defeat 150 Stormtroopers-15G

Force Grip Mastery-Defeat 500 enemies with Force Grip-20G

Jedi Hunt-Complete Level - Felucia, act 1-10G

Shocked-Defeat 100 enemies with Force Lightning-5G

Junkyard-Complete Level - Raxus Prime, act 1-10G

Bully-Defeat 25 Ugnaughts or Jawas-15G

I have one gripe with the cheevoz for this game. They all involve completing chapters or doing something a certain number of times. No real skill required, just play the game, beat the levels and kill stuff.

Oh, and 5 point cheevoz suck.

Fallout 3

Galaxy News Radio-Completed "Galaxy News Radio"-20G

Psychotic Prankster-Placed a grenade or mine while pickpocketing-10G

Following in His Footsteps-Completed "Following in His Footsteps"-20G

This game is my new crack. I'm totally engrossed in the world of the game, the characters and stories within that world and the gameplay. It's fun and I really love to play. Most of the cheevos are tied to missions, each which can be relatively long.

So you may have noticed this post is a bit late. Well, that's due to Gears of War 2, which took up most of my weekend. Be on the lookout for next weeks Gears of War extravaganza of cheevos!

This Week In Ch33v0z, The Fallout Star Wars Fable Edtion (PT 1)

Ch33v0z, ch33v0z, ch33v0z! It's time for more cheevoz! That's right, this week has been a killer for me and my game schedule. Fable II, Dead Space, Star Wars: TFU, and Fallout 3! I'm buried under a ton of games, with Gears 2, COD5, and many others on the near horizon. This week was an avalanche of cheevos, so I opted to make a special Fable II cheevo post, click here to enjoy it's cheeviness.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Insurrection-Complete Level - TIE Factory, act 1-10G

Skilled-Earn 250,000 Force Points on a single level-5G

Invasion-Complete Level - Prologue-10G

Sith Lord Frenzy-Get a Frenzy x12 bonus-15G

Gripped-Defeat 100 enemies with Force Grip-5G

Bossk-Defeat 200 Wookiees on Kashyyyk Prologue-15G

Sith Frenzy-Get a Frenzy x8 bonus-10G

Frenzy-Get a Frenzy x4 bonus-5G

Worst Day-Shift Manager Ever-Kill 12 Stormtroopers as Vader during the Prologue-10G

Star Wars... who couldn't like that? This is the first time you can use your force powers in a way that makes you feel like a badass (and no, not like this guy). This is a pretty fun game with a really great Star Wars story. I'm digging it so far.

Worst Day-Shift Manager is one pesky secret cheevoz. Just kill 12 stormtroopers in the very first part of the game, when you play as Vader. It's easy, because they are everywhere.

Bossk is another one that's done in the prologue. It's easy, but it takes about 10 minutes. You'll arrive at a section with 3 bridges, forming a triangle. The wookies will endlessly spawn here. Just kill them as they fly towards you, you can also unlock other cheevoz by using specific force powers... for instance the Gripped cheevo.

Fallout 3

Escape!-Completed "Escape!"-20G

The G.O.A.T. Whisperer-Took the G.O.A.T.-10G

Vault 101 Citizenship Award-Got the Pip-Boy 3000-10G

A new game! Fallout 3! I'm getting deeper and deeper into the world of RPG games. This one is bigger and more violent than Fable, and so far I'm enjoying it. I would also add that I'm playing an evil bastard in this game, and I'm really liking that. Rob, steal, kill... my new motto.

So far all the cheevz I've unlocked are related to the story. In fact, most cheevoz are story related. Basically you'll unlock one for each of the larger story quests.

Fable II

Oh, right... there were WAY too many to post on this one! Check out the special Fable II post, here!

So that's it for this week! Look for more Fallout 3 cheevz, some progress on Star Wars, hopefully those last couple in Fable II and maybe a new game! Don't forget, Gears of War 2 in just 7 days! w00t!
